Bukovinian State Medical University is one of the largest educational institutes in Chernivtsi. It is the higher state education institute of Ukraine. Bukovinian State Medical University is a fully authorized and government multi-structured educational institute. It provides higher-level educational programs at different levels. BSMU is registered under WHO, European University Association, Association of the Carpathian Region Universities and Magna Charta Universitatum.

Bukovinian State Medical University was established in 1944 and since then it has trained more than 30,000 specialists in many different fields like General medicine, Pharmacy, Pediatrics, Dentistry, Clinical Pharmacy, Medical Psychology and many more.

Physical Structure of the University

The Bukovinian State Medical University is spread in a large area. It has 15 buildings and 33 municipal and regional medical establishments. They are all used for clinical departments. These buildings got classrooms, laboratories, lecture halls, and educational-pharmacy. Everything is well-furnished and modern technical aids ensure the smooth working of scientific processes.

The University has almost 8 hostels with all the necessary things that a student needs for living and learning. It got 2 cafeterias and 6 snack bars for the refreshment of the students.

Admission Procedure of Bukovinian State Medical University

Step by Step Easy way to apply at BSMU

1. Before taking admission to the University you need to decide which course do you want to opt for. University website provides enough information about academic curriculum, languages of instruction, scientific research options and all other solutions to your queries. In case you face any difficulty or are unable to find the answer to your question, feel free to contact the department of international relations.
2. Check the requirements for the course you have opted for.
3. Fill the application form and submit it to the department of international relations. There is an option to apply online. Apply as per your convenience.
4. Students will get feedback from the department of international relations within 3 working days from your registration. If you will be eligible for admission you'll be asked to email your scanned documents namely
   1. passport page with your detailed information,
   2. previous education documents with grades, official transcripts, translated into English, Ukrainian or Russian,
   3. personally signed consent for the processing of collected data. It can be downloaded from the web page.
5. The university admission board will review your submitted documents and then decide whether to invite you for your study or not. The feedback will be given within 5 working days. If the decision is positive the Department of International Relations will send you a scanned copy official offer letter for study.
6. Once you receive the offer letter you’ll be asked to do some payments given below:
   1. Visa Support Fee of 324 UAH (University will provide your bank details)
   2. Courier delivery service
   3. 20-50% of tuition fees
7. After doing the above process you can start the process of getting a study visa with the necessary documents. We can provide you a representative for your help or you can directly contact with Ukraine embassy in your country where you reside.
8. Once you receive your study visa you need to start packing for your travel to Chernivtsi. Before leaving you to need to inform the department of international relations about your date, time, name of flight, city of arriving in Ukraine. These details need to be given at least 7 days before your date of arrival. The department of international relations will prepare a special letter for a meeting which will be sent to migration authority. In order to facilitate the process of crossing the Ukrainian board. In case you didn’t inform the letter about the meeting won’t be arranged and hence you might be forbidden to enter Ukraine.
9. Come to University and pass an entrance test. Be our students.
